Mission
The mission of Prince George Public Library is:
- To be the Information Gateway to the North, and to support city and community initiatives in terms of economic, social and cultural development.
- To meet the information and knowledge requirements of each citizen, and to provide sustainable future development.
- To seek community support for the collection and programs of the library so that they meet the changing needs of our growing population.
- To provide a socially secure environment for each citizen to "read, learn and discover" for themselves.
- To meet or exceed the professional standards of the library industry, and to provide leadership for other libraries in the North.
- To provide taxpayers with the best return on investment in terms of quality library services and responsible management.
- To help build a community of learners and leaders.
