Happy Star Wars Day!!!! I put together a quick list of some of the most interesting Star Wars books in our library, but there's loads more!

We have DVDs, CDs, books on CD, graphic novels... everything Star Wars you could ever want. Here's some of my favourites!

Sometimes I tell teens about fantastic books that I've read, but they are reluctant to check them out because of a seriously ugly cover. Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes not only suffers from an awkward book title, but also an extremely ugly book cover.

This is quite possibly the ugliest book cover on the planet but the book is AWESOME. You have to trust me. I wouldn't suggest a crummy book.

For readers who like John Green's Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, or Jay Asher's 13 Reasons Why, you HAVE to read this ugly-but-awesome book!

April is poetry month! Lots of people like poetry but don't necessarily like reading poetry. If that's you (or even if it's not!) you should give reading some novels in verse a try. Writers use poetry to write entire novels and they are super popular (*cough* Ellen Hopkins *cough*). See this handy list I just put together for some suggestions. Happy reading!

I'm super excited for the Optimus Prime-Athon coming up this Saturday! We'll be showing all three Transformers movies back-to-back in the Keith Gordon Room. This teens-only event will have big sound, big screen, snacks... what more could you want? Movies start at 10:00 am sharp and run all day! Hope to see you there :)

Sooo nice to have a break, finally! For those of you who are staying in PG, make sure to come on by the library to pick up some good reads to help relax and pass the time. There's a display set up in the teen section right now filled with Hunger Games Read Alikes, for all you rabid fans who can't wait until the movie comes out. Not long now! Enjoy your holiday :)
