Loan Periods & Fines
Loan periods vary. Check the chart below for the length of time you can borrow materials and renewal limits. If you return something late the following fees apply and you are expected to pay them as soon as possible:
| Item Type | Loan Period | # of items you may borrow | # of times you can renew | Daily Charge | Maximum Charge |
| Books, Graphic Novels, Magazines | 21 days | unlimited | 2 | $0.20 | $5.00 |
| Book Express | 7 days | unlimited | 0 | $1.00 | $10.00 |
| Books (inter-library loan) | 14 days | 5 | variable | variable | variable |
| Books on CD | 21 days | unlimited | 2 | $0.20 | $5.00 |
| DVDs | 14 days | unlimited | 0 | $1.00 | $10.00 |
| Music CDs | 14 days | unlimited | 2 | $0.20 | $5.00 |
| Book Club Sets | 6 wks | 1 set | 0 | 0 | 0 |
If items are more than 28 days overdue, or if unpaid charges exceed $15 on a library card, use of your library card is temporarily interrupted. A patron must clear off their charges before their library privileges are reinstated.
If you forget to return an item, you will be notified by phone or mail when the item is 14 days overdue. An invoice will be sent when the item is 28 days overdue. The library may use a collection agency when our efforts have failed to collect payment of outstanding charges and the return of borrowed items.
