This month we celebrate the bicentenary of Charles Dickens' birth - February 7, 1812. In addition to all the great works he produced that are now considered classics such as Hard Times, David Copperfield (my favorite), and Great Expectations , a plethora of material has also been written about Dickens.

The library has recently acquired two biographies about Charles Dickens that may appeal to you. One is Charles Dickens: a life by Claire Tomalin and the other is Charles Dickens and the street children of London by Andrea Warren.

If those don't suit, you can always lose yourself (re)reading one from the master himself.
