The Prince George Public Library is everywhere you are, thanks to its new mobile app. Using your smartphone, the library's mobile app allows users to search the library's catalog, check out the calendar for programs and events, find out when we're open and get directions to both the Bob Harkins branch downtown and the Nechako branch in the Hart mall.

The app also lets library card holders review their account to place holds on items already out of the library and renew material past its due date. Best of all, the mobile app provides 24-hour access to the library.

Finding books, movies, audiobooks and more is fast and slick with the mobile app's powerful search. All users have to do is type the first few letters of key words. For example, typing "row gob" in the search will get you J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Talk about a search engine that knows what you want!

The Prince George Public Library mobile phone application for smartphones is available for free at the iPhone App Store, the BlackBerry App World and the Android Market.
