Youth Advisory Board

Our Mission
- To encourage teens to use the library
- To assist local youth in accesing library materials
- To adapt the library to suit community (especially youth)
- To help humanize PGPL resources
- To provide a youth perspective on literary and library needs
- To be awesomely snazzy!
Who are we looking for?
- Youth ages 13 - 18 years (or in grade 8)
- A group of 6-10 youth who are interested in developing their leadership skills and who want to contribute to their community
- Youth with all kinds of backgrounds and experiences
- Time commitment is 4 - 8 hours per month
Why should you apply?

What will you do?
- Help plan events
- Provide input on library services, materials and activities
- Promote the library
- Meet new people
How can you apply?
- Fill out an application form (PDF 21kb)
- Deliver it to either branch of the library
- Deadline is September 10, 2010 at 5:30 pm
When?
- The YAB usually meets once a month on a Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:30 pm, unless working on a project that requires more time.
